In both times of peace and times of war, our military
fights to endure freedoms that we sometimes take for granted. Adam's Angels is proud
to support our service men and women- past, present and future- we hope
you will join us. Please bookmark this page as we will be adding simple
ways to help and a section for parents/teachers/children.
“Operation Sending Smiles Across the Miles”
was the first program Adam’s Angels launched in support of our troops. Schools, churches and
families across the country began writing letters and sending care packages
to the sailors of the USS Kitty Hawk- the fist carrier sent to Afghanistan
after September 11th. This program is ongoing and will continue for years
to come. We chose the Kitty Hawk because Jill's (founder of Adam's Angels)
friend from her days at NAS Pensacola is stationed on the aircraft carrier. Adam’s Angels organized a “United We Stand: Support Our
Troops” rally at Ground Zero to raise awareness and to embrace American troops- past,
present and future. The rally was presented by Adam’s Angels and attended
by 9/11 family members, Veterans and concerned citizens from all over the
world. It drew national media attention. Adam’s Angels also launched a
“Tie A Yellow Ribbon” campaign nationwide. Currently, Adam’s Angels
is in the process of bringing Veterans and local children together through “Proud
to be an American Kid” workshops. Adam’s Angels will be holding
these sessions across the country and marching along side Veterans at Memorial Day
parades.
