New York, NY, February 25, 2003 PROJECT REMEMBER ME: A CELEBRATION OF LIFE launches today. Thousands of Americans will come together in the next six months to create a personified memorial to EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE affected by September 11, 2001. A Celebration of Life exclusive reception will take place in September 2003 to culminate Project Remember Me.

Project Remember Me: A Celebration of Life will show the faces and stories of: Victims of 9/11/01, Loved ones left behind, Rescue workers, Volunteers & Americans who were impacted in some way, shape or form on 9/11/01.

So often we hear the number— almost 3,000 lives lost. We rarely see their faces or hear the loved ones stories. What about the faces and stories of those who helped with the rescue effort? The volunteers who were there in the aftermath? The children who were in school in New York that day? What about the senior citizen living in Florida flying his flag high?

Project Remember me will culminate with a “Celebration of Life” reception. This “A Celebration of Life” will be held in September 2003. After the reception, Project Remember Me: A Celebration of Life will have the option of moving around the country to show the lives affected by the events of 9/11/01 and then returning to a space somewhere in New York or simply remaining in New York. It is so important for us to focus on the positives and celebrate life. By showing the faces of those affected, we can ensure that no one ever forgets.
